moinAI Live-Chat: Autotranslation

The livechat-autotranslation translates messages of the livechat-agents and users into the spoken language of each other.

Initially the autotranslation is deactivated and has to be activated manually. Via setup -> bot settings -> live-chat the button below automatic translation can be activated.
As soon as this function is activ, the color of the button switches from grey to green and the field translate messages appears.

Note that the autotranslation does not take effect, when user and agent are speaking the same language.
Via setup -> bot settings -> Live-Chat -> Agent the languages spoken by each individual agent are configurated.

Alternatively, the agent can select the spoken languages via profile -> my profile -> live-chat profile.

If AutoTranslation has been activated, a comparison is made between the configured languages of the live chat agent and the language of the user for each live chat.

If there is a match, AutoTranslation is not activated. If there is no match, AutoTranslation is activated.

If AutoTranslation is active and takes effect, the user's requests are translated into the first language of the live chat agent.

The live chat agent's responses are translated into the language of the chat/bot.

The live chat agent receives a message in the input field indicating that AutoTranslation is active and into which language the translation is being performed. The live chat agent receives a preview of the translation as he/she makes the entry.

It is also possible for the agent to see their own entries and the corresponding translations as well as those of the user in the original language. When hovering over the message, the original message appears with a globe symbol next to it.
